WATCH: Jason Thompson emphasizes healthy living at first annual Sacramento youth basketball camp

For aspiring young athletes, learning the fundamentals of the game is half the battle.  The other half?  Keeping yourself tip-top shape by eating right.  Jason Thompson taught youngsters both at his first annual JT Elite Basketball Camp in Rancho Cordova last week.

The five-day camp, which ran from Aug. 5-9 at the Rancho Cordova Events Center, hosted over 240 kids from grades 3-12.  On behalf of his foundation, Thompson personally sponsored 100 campers from non-profit organizations like the Sacramento Children’s Home and the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento
