The Sacramento Kings will host their first pre-draft workouts on Monday, taking a look at a bevy of talent worthy of consideration for the eighth overall pick.

The Kings announced yesterday that Monday’s first workout will be headlined by Marcus Smart of Oklahoma State and Noah Vonleh of Indiana.  A second four-man workout will be headlined by Tyler Ennis of Syracuse.

Smart and Vonleh are two players who may be available when the eighth pick is on the clock.  The Oklahoma State alum is considered one of the top point guard prospects in this year’s draft.  Vonleh, meanwhile, is seeing his stock rise after a strong showing at the draft combine a few weeks ago.

Joining Smart and Vonleh in the first workout will be guard Elfrid Payton of Louisiana-Lafayette and big man Eric Moreland of Oregon State.  Payton, who is considered a potential first round pick by some pundits, will pose an intriguing match-up for the former Oklahoma State guard.

Meanwhile in the later session, Ennis will be joined by guard Stephen Holt of St. Mary’s, big man John Bohannon out of UTEP and forward/center Brendan Lane out of Pepperdine.  Ennis comes to Sacramento after working out for the Toronto Raptors on Thursday.  The 19-year-old point guard is projected by some experts to be drafted in the mid-first round or beyond.
