Sacramento Kings select Ray McCallum in second round of 2013 NBA Draft

The choice is in for the Sacramento Kings’ final pick of this year’s draft. ¬†With the 36th pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, the Kings select Ray McCallum from the¬†University¬†of Detroit Mercy.

  • Position: Guard
  • Height: 6’2
  • Weight: 191 lbs.
  • Quick Breakdown: High basketball IQ, good athlete and speed, strong ball handler and not turnover prone. ¬†However, played for a small school and doesn’t stand out with elite skills in any particular category.
  • Additional Info: Was recruited highly out of high school by bigger schools like UCLA, Kansas, Louisville and Duke. ¬†Opted to play for his father, Ray McCallum Sr., at Detroit.
