Sacramento Kings select Ray McCallum in second round of 2013 NBA Draft

The choice is in for the Sacramento Kings’ final pick of this year’s draft.  With the 36th pick of the 2013 NBA Draft, the Kings select Ray McCallum from the University of Detroit Mercy.

  • Age: 22
  • Position: Guard
  • Height: 6’2
  • Weight: 191 lbs.
  • Quick Breakdown: High basketball IQ, good athlete and speed, strong ball handler and not turnover prone.  However, played for a small school and doesn’t stand out with elite skills in any particular category.
  • Additional Info: Was recruited highly out of high school by bigger schools like UCLA, Kansas, Louisville and Duke.  Opted to play for his father, Ray McCallum Sr., at Detroit.
