What to watch
1. Will Ray McCallum play more than 40 minutes?
Over his last five games, McCallum has played major minutes for the Sacramento Kings. He’s playing close to 46 minutes a game due to the injury to Isaiah Thomas. Michael Malone talked yesterday after practice about giving Jared Cunningham more of an opportunity if the moment presents itself. But at the same time with McCallum playing so well, it’s been difficult for Malone to go away from the proven product. That once again might be the case tonight in Oakland.
2. Will Ben McLemore continue his quietly steady play?
While McCallum has stolen most of the rookie spotlight as of late, McLemore has quietly played some of his best basketball of the season. Over the last five games, last year’s No. 7 overall pick has averaged a consistent 14 points per contest while shooting better than 43 percent from the field and 42 percent from 3-point range. In order to pull off an upset, the Kings will need McLemore to keep the Warriors’ defense spaced with his shooting stroke.
3. Do the Kings get the Warriors at #FullSquad?
The W’s are nursing some injuries to a few key players. Andrew Bogut (pelvis/groin contusion) and David Lee (strained right hamstring) are both questionable for Golden State tonight. Andre Iguodala is battling knee tendinitis, but is likely to return to the Warriors’ lineup after sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Spurs. When the Warriors are at full strength, they border on elite and are one of the toughest match-ups in the NBA.
