Three questions to ponder

1. Can the Kings capitalize off their turnovers?

The Kings clawed their way back into Friday’s game against the Spurs by forcing turnovers.  However, they weren’t always able to convert when they had possession.  Despite winning the turnover battle, the Kings were still outscored 20-17 in  fastbreak points by San Antonio.  Creating points off turnovers will be critical for the Kings and their lackluster field-goal percentage tonight.

2. Do the Kings point guards finally post a respectable game assist-wise?

Isaiah Thomas, Aaron Brooks and Jimmer Fredette are combining to average just 4.1 assists per game.  That’s roughly just one assist more than their team leader Tyreke Evans, who is currently averaging 3.2 assists per contest.  The Kings point guards have to breakthrough at some point when it comes to setting up their teammates.  Maybe tonight is that night.

3. Will the coaching controversy surrounding the Lakers impact their performance?

Following the firing of Mike Brown Friday, the Lakers proceeded to destroy the Golden State Warriors, absolving their players perhaps of any blame for their lackluster play so far this season.  However, the speculation surrounding who takes over the reigns in L.A. is still a distraction until a deal is reached with a new head coach.  With a post-Brown win under their belts already, the Lakers could be in position for a let-down against the Kings.
