Part two of our conversation with former King Doug Christie.

Highlights

  • On finding defensive role players: “You gotta look for somebody who’s willing to be unselfish and at the same time someone who’s competitive enough to take the challenge of going up against these guys (the league’s best scorers)”.
  • On Rick Adelman as a candidate for the Lakers job: “I think it would be a great fit because of the fact that he runs what Phil (Jackson) considered the triangle offense.  His, you really didn’t give it a term, but it’s the same offense.”
  • On coaching: “I never really knew if I would enjoy coaching.  But since I got involved in it – in teaching, in training players – it’s been something that I found that I truly, truly love.  Hopefully, I can get involved definitely with the Kings.”
