If the Sacramento Kings' 21-year-old rookie power forward Hassan Whiteside has anything to say about it, he will be back and ready to go tomorrow when the team takes on the Utah Jazz on the road. Whiteside went down in the first week of camp with a strained left patella tendon. Since then, he has spent most of his time rehabb...
I may be the only one, but seeing Samuel Dalembert in a Kings jersey will be really weird for me. I guess Sammy isn't the first thing to pop in one's mind when he hears the phrase "Philadelphia 76ers", but he has been around for quite a while, always popping up in trade rumors and disproportionate contract discussions and ...
Dalembert and Jeter working with Carril.
- Samuel Dalembert (adductor)- Out, but he did come out and work with Coach Carril and Pooh Jeter on setting screens.
- Hassan Whiteside (patella tendon)- He's back! Hassan is still not cleared for full practice but he did partake in 5 on 0 drills. He should be cleared for full contact soon. Go here for more details.
Whiteside and Landry going at it after practice today.
Great news from camp today. Kings rookie power forward Hassan Whiteside returned to practice, albeit in a limited role. Whiteside went down in the first week of training camp with a strained left patella tendon and this is his first action since then. He is WAY behind but he might just be able to get some reps in before the end of camp. I was able to catch up with the big man:
Tonight's game was televised on NBATV. It was the first and only televised pre-season game for the Kings this year.

- DeMarcus Cousins
Injuries: Samuel Dalembert (adductor), Hassan Whiteside (patella tendon).
- Baron Davis
- Eric Gordon
- Rasual Butler
- Craig Smith
- Chris Kaman
Injuries- Blake Griffin (strained ankle).
Spending the last three weeks at training camp, I have had the pleasure of meeting many new and interesting people. Most of the people that garner all the attention are much taller than I am, and get paid to dribble a round leather ball. Coach Jim Eyen of the Sacramento Kings is not taller than I am, nor does he now or has he ...
It feels kind of stupid to write a 2010-2011 preview of Hassan Whiteside, because nothing about Hassan screams “2010-2011”. It’s like flying from L.A. to Miami – sure, you’ll probably be over Arizona at some point, and you might even enjoy that part of the flight if it’s when they pass out the peanuts, but ...
Although there is very little to report today as the team is traveling to Los Angeles to play the Clippers, I can confirm via twitter that both DeMarcus Cousins and Tyreke Evans traveled with the team. So far this pre-season, when a player travels with the team on the road, he plays, so hopefully the starting line-up can get ...

Omri Casspi is flat out intense. When he speaks, it is with the directness of a seasoned CEO. He is a hard worker, a fierce competitor and so focused that he seems to have no idea he is playing a game. He is also a team player and a loyal brother and son. Here is the Sacramento Kings small forward Omri Casspi with The Purple Panjandrum.
